About Me
I have a long history of delusions of grandeur. Therefore, I decided to major in Communication Studies at a state college (a state college that I love, but a communications major at a state college - I should have just stamped, I plan to party - a lot, on my head). Nonetheless, I figured I'd bang out a solid 3.2 GPA and immediately get a high paying job writing award winning ad copy or dreaming up the next "Got Milk" campaign. I wanted to be an English major, but thought the real money was with communications. One of my more brilliant plans. However, books and observational writing have always been my passions.
I started dabbling with some satirical pieces when I was pregnant and had some spare time that was once taken up with wine. My plan was to blog on a regular basis, especially when I surprised everyone, including myself, and decide to be a stay-home-mom. Considering I have always leaned towards delusions of grandeur, I figured I'd bang out some hilarious pieces with all the extra time I'd have being at home with my adorable little girl, and, you know, not working and all, quickly be discovered (by whom, I am not quite sure), then after appearances on Oprah (she was still on the air when I started) Ellen, David Letterman, and Jimmy Fallon I'd be given my first book deal and it would quickly be made into the sleeper hit of the year - starring the highly talented and completely adorable Emma Watson as me.
As you can see this hasn't all panned out just yet. However, my delusions of grandeur live on. Therefore, if you are so inclined read this, have a laugh or a cry, and feel free to pass this along to Oprah (she still has mad power), Ellen, David Letterman, Jimmy Fallon and especially that whisky and cigarette voiced powerhouse that I like to call Em.
